Renee Gongora was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She started her career as a certified American Sign Language interpreter. Later, she served in the U.S. Army from 1996-1999 and traveled coast to coast, border to border, Europe and back. After serving in the military, she began her pursuit in teaching and maintains certifications in all levels of Special Education, Deaf Education, American Sign Language, and English as a Second Language (ESL/ELL). She's been in public education since 2005. She holds an associate’s degree in Sign Language Interpreting, bachelor's degree in Communications, master's degree in Deaf Education, and Educational Specialist Degree (doctorate level) in Teaching and Learning. 

      Renee started her home yoga practice in 2006 in Granbury, Texas. She began studying under the wonderful teachers in Corpus Christi in 2010. She earned certification for Teaching Kids Yoga from Mi Yoga at Yoga Studio of Corpus Christi in summer of 2017. Renee earned her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in May 2018 under the lineage of the Yoga Studio of Corpus Christi and her esteemed teachers Michelle Acebo and Gretchen Weber. Continuing her journey, Renee taught yoga and yoga nidra at Akasha Yoga Studio and joined Leah Murray and Kaisan Twitty as part of Divine Moon Yoga people. She focuses on gentle, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, and exploring movement with Poi, hula-hoops and spinning fans.
      Additionally, in December of 2023, Renee became a Certified Sound Healer- Fundamentals Level 1 Graduate and in January 2024, Crystal Singing Bowl Certification- Level 2 through Life Changing Energy by Vickie Gould. She added Balanced Body Pilates Reformer Level 1 Instructor certification in April 2024 from Studio Be, Corpus Christi. 

     In the autumn of 2024, Renee found Reiki Master Ashley Harvey.  Eager to start practicing Reiki, in November 2024, Renee added Usui Reiki Level 1, Level 2 and Master Level Reiki from Lisa Powers lineage. These courses included Reiki with crystals and Reiki for animals. 

     Yoga, Sound Healing, Reiki, and Pilates Reformer continues to teacher her how to balance life challenges and joys, embrace herself and others with love, empathy, and wisdom to humbly share her energy with others. Yoga, Sound Healing, Reiki, and Pilates Reformer also help her relieve her multitude of spine and neck issues while honoring the mental and emotional stories within her. Renee shares the joy and healing journey with all who are willing and open to learn.
